Lina Tayar is a psychologist at UNHCR project for Syrian IDPs and a lecturer at Tishreen University. She provides various psycho support services, such as counselling for people who suffer sensitive social and political issues as a consequence to the crisis in Syria. She graduated from the Faculty of Education and got her master’s degree in 2011. While pursuing her PhD at Damascus University she has attended academic and professional training courses in Syria and abroad with international NGOs and educational foundations such as Anna Lindh, UNHCR, UNICEF and ICRC. She also works as a Syrian coordinator with WHRF, through which she is developing a project that establishes basic standards to integrate psycho support in the field of education, to be part of a bigger project aiming at raising affected Syrian children.
