Cédric Baecher is co-founder and Director of Nomadéis, a Paris-based consulting agency focusing on sustainability and international cooperation issues. After his graduation from the ESSEC-MBA, he accomplished in 2001 a one-year world tour on water and poverty issues (the “Water’ you thinking of?” project), covering 6 countries and 10 cities with the support of UNESCO. He then acquired with Nomadéis a 10-year professional experience traveling to 40+ countries and working on 150+ assignments involving a great diversity of stakeholders (private corporations, national and local governments, NGOs…). In 2011, one year ahead of Rio+20, he co-founded the ScenaRio 2012 project, the first global research on youth and sustainable development supported by 6 UN agencies and 4 corporate sponsors. Through a wide participatory process, ScenaRio 2012 will enable 30,000 young citizens aged 16-29 from 30 countries and a panel of 100 personalities to share their perspectives on the multitude of issues linking the environment, development and governance. Cédric is involved with various non-profit institutions. He is a member of the board of the Solucom Foundation, providing support to underprivileged children in France and internationally. He lives in Paris and has both French and Swiss citizenships.
