Flora Hevesi works for Greenpeace currently coordinating the communications work of the European Energy Project. Before joining GP, she was a political journalist and a leading social movement activist in Hungary. She worked for a number of broadcast, print and online outlets over the last 15+ years, and contributed regularly to various international media such as the CNN and The Economist. Parallel to her career in journalism, she also worked with various environmental and human rights organizations and participated in numerous projects aiming at building democracy through journalism and civic activism. She served as chair of Amnesty International Hungary for six years, and was active in founding Hungary’s first parliamentary green party. Flora holds a master’s degree in media and globalization from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Having lived in London (UK) for years, she is now based in Budapest (Hungary) and Oslo (Norway).
