Kholoud Mansour

Kholoud was a senior consultant for Local to Global Protection Initiative (L2GP) and a former Academy Senior Fellow at Chatham House. She is affiliated with the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES) in Lund University in Sweden. Her current research focuses on humanitarian assistance and funding flows in Syria, the UN system, civil society organizations, Syrian refugees and migration. She accentuates in her work on the importance of engaging Syrian actors in the humanitarian, development, geopolitics and academic spheres. Ms Mansour writes on Syria and recently co-authored the report: Funding to national and local humanitarian actors in Syria: Between sub-contracting and partnerships. She had contributed, under a pseudonym, to The National newspaper and other media platforms. She has participated in several conferences and forums pertinent to Syria, refugees, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, civil society organizations, leadership and other topics. She is a member in the Syrian Women Initiative for Peace and Democracy and an alumna in several prominent leadership programs. She has a bachelor’s degree in Economics, a postgraduate diploma in International Economic Relations from Damascus University and MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Lund University. She also had a diploma on Conflict Prevention, Resolution and Reconciliation from the International Peach and Security Institute & Johns Hopkins University. In Syria, she had worked extensively with refugees, resettlement programs, human trafficking and humanitarian assistance.
