Najma Ahmed-Hussin works as a Knowledge Management and Strategic Communications officer for the Somalia Stabilization Initiative (SSI), an IOM initiative funded by USAID. She conducts monitoring and evaluation audits of SSI’s activities to gather lessons learned and guidance documents on areas related to youth engagement, community engagement and PVE.She works on areas directly affected by Al-Shabab and engage youth and community leaders living in villages just freed from the militia. Prior to this, Najma worked on developing the Niger Community Cohesion Initiative, an IOM programme funded by USAID seeking to reduce the threats of violent extremism and armed conflict through small-scale cross-sectorial activities in the regions of Diffa, Tillaberi and Agadez.
